Mindfulness evenings @ Hermitage Urban Spiritual Hub
From ancient times, people have lived together in smaller or larger communities , deeply connected by their emotional, cultural and spiritual needs and practices. This has given them the advantage of supporting each other, sharing both struggles as well as joys with one another.
Empathy, compassion and generosity are qualities that are deeply rooted within our biological and emotional fiber , members of a community create a space of safety and trust in order to contribute to the growth of both individual and group resources such as resilience, creativity, patience and perseverance.
The practice of mindfulness has needed three main ingredients in order to grow its roots and to expand:
1. The individual, experiential , ethical practice
2. A direct way of transferring the knowledge and experience from one practitioner to another
3. A community to support this process
Following a growing public interest in mindfulness and owing it to our long standing intention of offering a space for regular group practice and support, we invite those who are interested in mindfulness to join us on Wednesdays, beginning March, 13th, from 7:30 pm, at Hermitage Urban Spiritual Hub.
We will be practicing mindfulness meditation, sharing experiences and welcoming questions and feedback.
The structure of the session:
19:30 - 20:00 - formal mindfulness meditation practice
20:00 - 20:35 - Q & A, feedback & sharing
20:35 - 20:55 - guided mindfulness practice
We recommend sport/light/comfortable indoor clothes.
The core practice: secular mindfulness practice.
Please arrive no later than 7:20 pm. The sitting practice starts at 7:30 pm.

I believe in the power of kindness, I trust people’s ability to find inner balance and joy of living and I wish to contribute to a kinder, more authentic world for our children and for all of us.
I am a Mindfulness and SEL ( Social Emotional Learning ) facilitator at Verita International School, working with parents , teachers and children .
For over 7 years I have been the Director of Verita 4 All Foundation who is providing educational and personal development programs to underprivileged children in Romania.
As a certified trainer, I have shared my passion for mindfulness with companies interested in offering well being tools to their employees.
As a blessed mother and wife, mindfulness has helped me become more aware of the benefits of a wiser response instead of immediate reactivity and while this is a lifetime practice, it has brought a lot of space, joy and gratitude in all of my relationships.
Passionate about writing, storytelling, chocolate ice cream and people’s laughter.

For more than 10 years now I've traveled far and wide in pursuit of climbing and human experiences through which I could get a glimpse of purpose and make meaning in life.
The quest outside turned to be a quest inside. I started the inner journey through individual psychotherapy. I then joined a personal development group using the method of psychodrama to find balance and make sense of past experiences.
I've also explored various aspects of the mind by taking Consciousness Quotient Institute's course on human consciousness and development.
I've recently embarked on a 3 year Psychodrama group training to throw more light on the workings of human psyche, to understand and work with group therapy methods and to use the insights in supporting human well being endeavors.
I am presently engaged in Verita's mission to promote quality integral - mind and heart - education in a kind and caring school environment.
I am part of the Social and Emotional Learning team, using Mindfulness as one of the main tools to support students' self-regulation and well being.
I am also involved in facilitating individual training courses at Vertical Spirit climbing gym, using mindfulness to explore the climbing (and mental) experience.
My first steps in learning and practicing mindfulness were guided and inspired by Daniela Andreescu.
Supporting and enlighting my on going exploration and practice I am thankful to Daniela Andreescu, Bill Karelis, George Petre, Gratiela Sion, Hilde Gott and the students of Verita School :)
